The NJ Seafood Festival – Belmar Seafood Festival
The annual New Jersey Seafood Festival takes place near Sea Girt
NJ and Spring Lake New Jersey in nearby Belmar during the second
weekend in June. Typically the NJ Seafood Festival is held in
Silver Lake Park on Ocean Avenue and brings approximately
150,000 visitors to the Beaches in NJ nearby. Spotlighting the
delicious seafood cuisines up and
down the shore, the New Jersey
Seafood Festival is a culinary celebration of the best seafood
dishes. People from around the country descend upon the NJ
Seafood Festival to enjoy dishes of shrimp, lobster, calamari,
and other things like alligator, sushi, conch fritters and
seafood paella. In addition to the great food, children love
visiting the Children’s Tent and adults love browsing the
numerous arts and crafts and listening to live music.
The New Jersey Irish Festival
Just a bit north of the Beaches in NJ near Spring Lake and
Sea
Girt NJ is the town of Wildwood New Jersey. It is here every
year that the New Jersey Irish Festival is held in September.
One of the largest Irish Festivals in the country, the NJ Irish
Festival is a celebration of all things Celtic. Historically,
parts of New Jersey were heavily immigrated to by Irish in the 19th
century and thousands of people come to the Jersey Shore town of
Wildwood to celebrate the heritage and culture of the Irish. In
addition to Celtic entertainment and games, Irish wares and
foods are available for sale during the three day weekend event.
Candlelight Christmas Tour
Tour the historic, Victorian shore homes that dot the Beaches in
NJ near Spring Lake and Sea Girt when they are fully decorated
in period holiday décor. The historic Inns of Spring Lake
annually host Candlelight Christmas Tours of many of the homes,
and guests can stroll through the homes, and enjoy holiday music
and delicious Christmas cookies and cider. Many people like to
